The difference between  “lamp & driving IC on same PCB” and “lamps & driving IC on different PCBs” and how to select

In led display circuit board, is made of lamps board and driving IC board generally.  
There are currently two designs, one is separated lamps board and driver board into two boards, the other is the light board and driver board composition on a same circuit board. Then, what are the difference between “separated lamps board and driver board into two boards” and  “light board and driver board composition on a same circuit board”?

lamps & driving IC on different PCBs. As a matter of fact, the lamps PCB and driving IC PCB are connected via pin lines. Under the consider of the pixel, size ,radiation and other factors, the modules of under pitch 12mm will adopt that lamps & driving IC on different PCBs. From the maintain point of view, the modules that adopt lamps & driving IC on different PCBs are easier to fix.

lamp & driving IC on same PCB is that lamps and driving ic soldered on same PCB.
. Thus one of its advantages is that you can significantly reduce PCB board quatities. But It also has very obvious shortcomings. Heat drive issue has not yet been produced can be a good solution and maintenance is not easy. Usually the module of over P16 will be used in such a way, but the current application is not very satisfactory. So now lamp & driving IC on same PCB is not a advanced design.

The difference between  “lamp & driving IC on same PCB” and “lamps & driving IC on different PCBs”

Stability:

lamp & driving IC on same PCB: without the pin connection between lamps board and driver board, it adopt copper platinum designed to eliminate the strip, air welding, unreliable connection problems. Its stability is high. lamps & driving IC on different PCBs: air welding highly appears in the pin connection, so a high possibility of failure occurs.

Lifttime:

lamp & driving IC on same PCB: without the pin connection between lamps board and driver board, it adopt copper platinum designed to eliminate the inductive effect. And the inductance effect will lead to mess screen video.

lamps & driving IC on different PCBs:: inductive effect is more serious and after everlasting use, the possibility will highly increase.

Radiating:

lamp & driving IC on same PCB is worse than lamps & driving IC on different PCBs

Maintain:

It maintain more easily when lamps & driving IC on different PCBs because it can be test by exchanging.  And since the lamps is only on the lamps boards, it will be easy to replace the lamps.

The way lamp & driving IC on same PCB costs slightly lower.

lamps & driving IC on different PCBs is commonly used for several reasons:

First: LED screen uses a dip lamps, dip lamps’s feet to affect the normal driver IC placing, so need to adopt lamps & driving IC on different PCBs.

Second, pitch is too small to affect the alignment of the PCB in the electronic circuit design, the use of light flooding separate ways will increase the PCB layout area.

Third, help heat without affecting the LED display, if the lamp drive one way, when the LED lights when the high density (ie LED screen dot pitch was very young), the heat had driven IC at work it will be high, then the driver IC calories will directly affect the LED lamp is on the IC by PCB, the LED light changes color. Use lamp drive separation will not happen. .

Indoor screen rarely drive one lamp, because the majority of indoor screen spacing P10 or less, and most to paste or dot matrix module based. The outdoor display is mainly light-line mode, so outdoor indoor screen with both very different. Indoor screen, the production of smaller dot pitch, the more consideration to the display of the heating problem. Therefore, indoor screen will no doubt use lamp drive separation method.
